I feel it lol. My in game name in black desert was MeguminExplosion so everyone in chat kept begging me to spam Explosion! Lt + B voltaic pulse one of the most OP skills at the time.

I was one of the day 1 release players so at the time everyone's gearscore was avg 450 and mine was 550 so I just one shot everyone and kept refusing to join pvp guilds so they menaced me and my guild full of casuals and said it was my fault they were getting griefed. So I show up and usually end up 1v4ing them and 1 shotting them and being the menace I am I kept taunting them by typing Exploooooosion!

Then they lied and spread rumors on servers and got other guilds to declare war on me. Everytime I logged on I had people server hopping and trying to hunt me down by paying in game money to the mystery man npc to display my location in game. Never play black desert folks. Anime aesthetics will never make up for the toxicity of the game. Gotta be toxic to survive other toxic players. 😭

It's easier to be confident when you don't have to look them in the eye, easier to be paranoid when what you're saying could wind up getting posted all over the internet, and easier to be thoughtful when the conversation doesn't end just because it took a couple minutes to reply. It also takes more effort and time to use your hands to type out a message than to just verbally say the message.

I think that's one terrible result from the existence of the internet. People have become horrible communicators and no longer know how to act in real life and converse in person. As there's no waiting minutes to respond (or you'd look retarded & probably make others uncomfortable), definitely can't do what anime characters do thinking while having full conversations in your own head while the other person just looks at you like um are you going to reply or what lmao (like all I asked was how are you, no need to play chess about it aha). But there's no take backs, no delete buttons, no way to hide your facial expressions (not always, like a poker player aha), etc.

And I feel bad for the current gen that grew up WITH the internet since they were affected by social media the most. Without a phone or computer sitting behind a screen, it seems like they find it difficult to verbally communicate with others irl. Especially when dating, can be so different online, but in person so awkward and strange, because of the lack of experience & interactions with opposite sex and reasons like I mentioned earlier in this comment. People are mad weird online, so I could imagine how much weirder they'd be irl smh.

There is a difference, when you have poor acting skills or spend a long while in a game, like at least a few months, you'll gradually show your true colours, from the attitude towards other players to the way you present yourself. Akane has terrible social skills, apparently, cause it was easy to figure out that Rurihime was a dude irl. The girly speech and behaviour were overdone, just like Dylan Mulvaney's idea of femininity.

Not always, sometimes the player's too mature or has a too big ego to care for developing a different persona. I've played with people 15 years my senior, as an adult myself, and I personally knew that other person(they were a distant relative) and their in game persona was no different from real life.

Its roleplaying habits, some likes to roleplay as character when playing, some just be themselves while using character as medium

Akane was bothering me in the restaurant with her reactions towards Yamada, I can't pinpoint what it is exactly. She's already been in a relationship, she is older than him but her actions are as if she's falling in love for the first time. Plus she's also so obvious about it that others can tell. I guess I'm disappointed in the direction they're going with her.

This is standard shoujo/josei romance, unfortunately. When I look up any romance manga/manhwa/wt I need to got through 10 or so trials of 1-3 chapters before finding one where these tropes are either very little used or not at all. Thankfully batoto has the option for reviews and shows very popular comments on as many chapters as possible, so braver people can warn you off issues with a series.
